NE WFFA Winter 2016 meeting in Colville WA

The focus this year is "Safeguarding Your Forestland". There is a terrific lineup of speakers.

Topics:
-What landowners can do to prevent/reduce Trespass
-How to use new Technology "Tools" out in your forest
-Storytelling: How each of us have a story to tell
-Salvage logging after a natural disaster (and our region has had plenty of that)
-Then how to calculate your Forest Excise taxes after the logging is done!

Also available, local DNR and NRCS landowner assistance foresters will update you on cost-share programs to help landowners accomplish some real life, on-the-ground goals.

Even better than the line up of speakers, we will be enjoying a delicious lunch of Kahlua Pulled Pork sandwiches & all the sides from Brown Boyz catering.

And to top it all off, there are Raffle & Silent Auction items from local businesses. So stop by the ATM on your way to the meeting because you will want to buy at least 10 tickets for the 20" Poulan Chainsaw that was donated by Lee Frank Mercantile (Tonasket) & Walker Tree Farm! Tickets for the chainsaw raffle are just $ 5 each! Other raffle items include gas cards, Sunday Brunch for 2, car rental and so much more! Ticket price for these items is way, way less than $5 each.

The Silent Auction items go to the highest bidder, so you will have to bid high and often to guarantee you go home with some great stuff, like a full Auto detailing or a Buckhorn gold coin in a display case.

As in the past, ALL proceeds from the Raffle & Silent Auction go to the NE/Spokane WFFA Scholarship at SFCC and the Steve Stinson Leadership in Natural Resources scholarship.

NE Chapter is extending an invitation to its neighbors, Northcentral and Spokane chapter members, so please consider making the drive to Colville to join WFFA for a day of fellowship.

If you have any questions, there are full details on the WFFA website at www.wafarmforestry.com.

Thanks to the NE WFFA for providing this information.
